Hello dear visitor!

I`m Selene, a corporate & commercial lawyer in the Netherlands based in Amsterdam. I am a former M&A lawyer, which makes me a pro at building company structures, contracting, and negotiating. 

I have also conducted many due diligence investigations and what I discovered was that:
(1) there were many improvements to be made to the targets’ commercial contracts; and
(2) the targets sucked at contract management, which resulted in missed deadlines, missed opportunities for audits, price increases or decreases, renegotiations or renewals, imposed fines, and even termination.

But once the deal was closed, I was no longer involved in the further stages of the company. I wanted to fix all the mistakes I detected in my due diligence investigations and help the companies develop.

I soon realized that my passion was to help companies through each stage of their lifecycles... I wanted to become more of a long-term business partner to my clients.

This inspired me to leave a major M&A law firm at the Zuidas (the Big Law mecca) in Amsterdam and start my own law firm. Now, I act as an external legal counsel to provide full legal support to international businesses, including SMEs, startups and scale-ups. 

I am using the skills & knowledge I gained in Big Law to help international businesses by:
•    drafting international commercial contracts to do business in the EU, UK & beyond;
•    reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts to make sure that they get the best possible deals;
•    conducting contract lifecycle management from A to Z; 
•    providing companies with corporate housekeeping and other corporate legal services; and
•    providing legal business advice on both corporate and commercial matters.

And I do this all on a subscription basis or a fixed-fee project basis!
